Following approval by the Prescott Planning and Zoning Commission on November 14, the project has received all necessary approvals from City boards and commissions at this point. Community Development Director Chelsea Walton said the next and final approval step will be City Council. The Council meeting date is Tuesday, December 10 at 3 pm. Assuming the project is approved by Council, this would begin submittal of the plans, the permitting process, and the staff-level technical review. It is expected these next steps will take place in early 2025.

About the Project
The proposed project has a retail and restaurant space on the main level with the upper levels consisting of an upscale select service hotel with approximately 109 guestrooms. The goal is to attract visitors and locals alike.
The building is designed to tie into the rich historic fabric of the Courthouse Plaza Historic District. The façade is predominantly brick and stone referencing the surrounding historic buildings. The corner of the building hosts a restaurant with an outdoor patio, which will bring activity to the pedestrian-friendly streets. This provides space where locals and guests can relax, share small plates and drinks, and vibrancy of the nearby courthouse plaza and take in the surrounding city. This hotel is a perfect complement to the surrounding historic buildings of the area and will be a benefit to the community.
